It is difficult to condense the work undertaken by Soulez Larivière & Associés into a few major areas. It is an independent entity, working both in France and abroad, that handles both small and big cases, which at times attract considerable media coverage. The firm has a high-level of expertise which is very diversified, enabling it to operate in nearly all areas of the law.
In particular, this list does not cover the numerous cases relating to international criminal law and human rights and public liberties. For example, the firm was involved in the Rainbow Warrior case, where it defended the French state and two of its agents. For a lawyer, this type of case is one of the best practical experiences imaginable for learning how to deal with crisis situations. In other words: these exceptional cases bring experience, skills and knowledge that can then be applied in cases that at first sight appear more run-of-the-mill, but which are in fact always unique.
Although this breakdown may not be a true reflexion of the extent of the firm’s work, we have condensed the firm’s main work into eight specific areas:
Commercial litigation
Crisis management and disasters (industrial, aviation, maritime etc.)
Aviation Law
White-collar crime
Environment
Literary and artistic property
Criminal liability in the construction sector
Health
The two more editorial sections of this website are designed to illustrate in more practical terms the firm's expertise and its work (only available in French):
- "Le métier d'avocat", explaining the many aspects of a lawyer's work.
- "Questions de société", which illustrates, through analyses and position statements, how the firm approaches in practice the novel issues generated by a society that is changing all the time.
