Capucine Lanta de Bérard and Tom Bruneau appeared as defence counsel before the Annecy Criminal Court, alongside two paragliding instructors facing charges of causing unintentional injury.

On 26 October 2022, two young paragliders collided whilst on a supervised flight at the Col des Annes site in Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie). Both students were seriously injured.

The preliminary investigation conducted by the Thônes gendarmerie unit was unable to determine with certainty the causes of the accident. The Public Prosecutor for Annecy nevertheless decided to refer the two instructors to the Criminal Court to face charges of causing unintentional bodily harm.
In particular, the two instructors were accused of failing to maintain constant visual contact with their pupils.

The Criminal Court nevertheless acquitted the two defendants, recognising that it was impossible to attribute any fault to them in connection with the injury.
