Expertises

Aurélia Grignon handles all areas of corporate criminal law (corruption, misuse of corporate assets, embezzlement, fraud, money laundering, deceptive business practices, forgery, and use of forged documents, etc.), representing both corporations and individuals, including executives, political leaders, government officials, and high-ranking civil servants.

Her practice now extends more broadly to the entire spectrum of corporate criminal law, which includes, in particular, prosecutions under criminal labor law—such as harassment, gender-based and sexual violence, obstruction of work, and undeclared labor—as well as all litigation related to criminal accident law (including prosecutions for involuntary manslaughter or injury resulting from workplace accidents) . In this field, Aurélia Grignon has developed recognized expertise by working alongside Daniel Soulez Larivière on sensitive and highly publicized cases involving industrial disasters and aviation accidents (the Erika oil spill, the collapse of Terminal 2E, the Concorde crash, etc.). Furthermore, the range of offenses currently faced by companies and their executives continues to expand, as exemplified by the prosecutions for financing a terrorist organization and complicity in crimes against humanity brought against Lafarge and its former executives.

Aurélia Grignon is also attuned to the developments currently reshaping criminal law, particularly those related to the rise of transnational prosecutions and so-called “plea bargain” agreements, and has been involved for several years in major cases related to these issues. She has a thorough understanding of international and EU legal instruments governing judicial cooperation and regularly handles matters involving extradition and European arrest warrants. She also closely monitors the increased liability faced by companies in the areas of health, safety, and compliance, as well as the widespread use of internal investigations, which raises new questions regarding respect for procedural safeguards, the protection of personal data, and trade secrets, among other issues.

Aurélia Grignon has also developed specialized expertise in aviation law within the firm and has been handling criminal prosecution cases related to aviation accidents and incidents for several years.
